Hello! I'm Dr. Stephanie Kattera

I currently work at the International School of Egypt as Head of School. The International School of Egypt is an American International School that uses the Common Core State Standards and AP Curriculum.

From a background in teaching music, including both elementary through 10, I moved into a Technology Integrationist leadership position serving grades PreK - Grade 12.

A native of Pennsylvania, in the USA, I have lived and worked overseas since 2011 at private American international schools Egypt, China, and the UAE. I am single with no dependents, traveling the world.  My hobbies include cross-stitching, diving, cycling, and performing choral music.

Throughout my website I have presented a variety of information that I hope will present my philosophy of an educator, administrator, and person that I am.

Thank you for visiting.

I am always up for a challenge and learning new skills.  I started my career as a music teacher.  Through that experience I began to learn more about technology and how it could be integrated into all areas of learning.  As a school leader and in charge of implementing the technology growth at my school, a new passion led my learning.  I became a school leader and now use my love of arts, technology, and cross-curricular opportunities with my teachers.

Entering 15 years in Experience, 4 years in the United States, 10 years international experience, 5 years in school Organizational Leadership, 4 years in Administrative experience.

I have taught and lived in four countries, and visited dozens more.  I love exploring and learning about new cultures.  I have made bonds with students, families, and friends that leave me with a deep connection wherever I travel.
